In the Baglung, Galkot Municipality , a program was organized to honor the students and schools who achieved excellent results in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) this year. The program included interaction among the Mayor of Galkot Municipality, Bharat Sharma Gaire, educational authorities, school principals, and representatives.

Mayor Gaire expressed his commitment to educational improvement and requested the cooperation of educational stakeholders in implementing the decisions made by the municipality for academic matters.

He highlighted the continuous efforts of the municipality in promoting education by formulating educational plans, conducting teaching activities, and encouraging students and schools based on their performance. He also mentioned that the municipality had allocated a suitable budget for educational development and had discussed significant issues with the Education Committee.

The program acknowledged the achievements of 41 students who scored 3.2 or higher GPA in the SEE 2079 examination from Government  and Private schools under Galkot Municipality. Three schools that obtained excellent results were also honored, including Sambuddha Educational Academy, Galkot Secondary School, and Shiva Secondary School. Sandesh Regmi from Sambuddha Educational Academy scored 3.95 GPA which is the highest scored GPA in this year in Galkot Municipality.

The program involved extensive interactions among the principals of each school, the School Management Committee chairpersons, and the elected representatives to discuss the results and strategies for improvement. The educational officials, Shiv Khadka and Him Bahadur Bhandari, facilitated the discussion and addressed the raised questions.

The program included congratulatory speeches by Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 3, Pham Bahadur Khatri, and the member of Galkot Education Committee, Tanka Bahadur Kc.

The program was chaired by Him Bahadur Bhandari, the coordinator of the Social Development Committee of Galkot Municipality, and co-chaired by Manu Singhali, the Chief of the Education Department of Galkot Municipality. Shiv Khadka, the Education Officer, conducted the program successfully.
